Learning to listen to the timing, duration, and patterns in musical repertoires enhances children’s understanding of musical tempo (fast and slow) and dynamics (loud and soft), thereby improving their overall auditory perception.

Workshop 2
Aural Skills -Introduction to pitch & articulations
Learning pitch and articulations offer several benefits for children. Exploring pitch can help open and develop children vocal range. Understanding articulations such as legato and staccato, can enhance their abilities to express emotions and dynamics through music.
These skills not only improve their musical abilities but also strengthen their speech clarity, pronunciation, and overall communication skills.
Additionally, this awareness of pitch and articulation can foster greater sensitivity to tone and inflection in language, aiding in more effective verbal interactions.
Workshop 3
Musical Analysis – Discover the orchestral music instruments
Engaging young children in music analysis, helps them identify and distinguish different orchestral sounds, fostering critical listening skills.
This ability to analyse and differentiate sounds enhances their auditory discrimination, improves focus, and nurtures an appreciation for musical diversity.
Additionally, it lays a foundation for more complex thinking and pattern recognition skills that are valuable in other areas of learning.
